Entry: Happy Birthday Dianetics! Wednesday, May 09, 2007




57 years ago today the Dianetics book was first published.  And it's been an international best seller ever since!

When we look back on the 20th Century a few hundred years from now, I'm sure this is the date that will be known as the turning point for our civilization -- they day it started back up again after a steep decline.

When you look around the world today you see insane men and women acting destructively: toward themselves, the people they care about and the world around them.  You see greed and self interest destroying businesses, crashing the real estate market, wrecking the lives of millions.  You see people starving to death in 3rd World Countries while those in the affluent West throw away far more food than it would take to save them all.  You see human rights violations wherever you look.

What is the source of this?  The reactive mind.  And what is the solution?

I think you misspelled the beginning. It should be "57 years ago the first step in a series of habitual crimes, lies, extortions, and deaths was published in a shiny book of lies; Dianetics."

it's pretty crazy when you look into history books and documentaries about l. ron hubbard talking about his book and that it was a work of fiction. moreover:

"You don't get rich writing science fiction. If you want to get rich, you start a religion."
