I think you misspelled the beginning. It should be "57 years ago the first step in a series of habitual crimes, lies, extortions, and deaths was published in a shiny book of lies; Dianetics."

it's pretty crazy when you look into history books and documentaries about l. ron hubbard talking about his book and that it was a work of fiction. moreover:
"You don't get rich writing science fiction. If you want to get rich, you start a religion."
